Position Overview

Blancpain, ​the ​world’s ​oldest watchmaking brand, ​is ​renowned for its ​dedication ​to ​traditional Swiss craftsmanship ​and innovation. ​We ​are looking ​for a ​highly ​driven Sales Manager ​who will ​take charge of expanding Blancpain’s retail presence and sales performance in the Korean market. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the luxury watch industry, possess strong leadership skills, and be committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience while preserving the brand’s prestigious heritage.


Key Responsibilities


1. Sales & Business Strategy

  • Develop and implement long-term sales strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Identify market trends and competitive opportunities to enhance brand positioning and offerings.
  • Build strategic sales plans for both retail and duty free channels to maximize brand visibility and revenue.


2. Sales Performance & Client Management

  • Drive sales initiatives to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop strong relationships with key clients and retail partners to enhance business growth.
  • Monitor market trends and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and customer engagement efforts.
  • Support boutiques in optimizing customer service and sales execution.


3. Retail Operations & Visual Merchandising

  • Ensure the brand's aesthetic standards are consistently represented across all retail spaces.
  • Work closely with store teams to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Supervise the creation and distribution of visual merchandising kits and sales materials.


4. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify new business opportunities to expand Blancpain’s presence in Korea.
  • Develop strategies to enhance sales conversion rates and customer retention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement retail expansion and performance enhancement initiatives.


5. Sales Enablement & Reporting

  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop tools and strategies to meet revenue goals.
  • Analyze sales data and market performance to deliver actionable insights.
  • Report regularly to senior management on key performance indicators and market trends.


6. People Management & Leadership

  • Oversee and manage boutique staff, ensuring alignment with brand standards and operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to store teams to drive performance and service excellence.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance staff knowledge, customer engagement, and sales techniques.
  • Manage employee schedules, performance reviews, and talent development within boutiques.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to enhance team morale and motivation.


7. Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Manage cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with global brand standards.
  • Serve as the main liaison between the Korea office and global brand headquarters.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members to uphold brand excellence.


Competences & Requirements


1. Professional Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in retail industry, with at least 2 years in managing people.
  • Prior operational experience in luxury retail is preferred.
  • Knowledge of luxury watch industry is an advantage.


2. Skills and Competencies

  • Strong project management and training experience.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams at the Markets/Headquarters level.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and adaptability to new systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Fluent English is required due to frequent HQ meetings.


3. Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in luxury brand management or retail experience are a plus.


4. Personal Attributes

  • Results-driven mindset with a strategic approach.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • A team player with strong leadership skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Willingness to travel for business needs.
